Nikolas Stojak, software engineer

My Journey

Before I became a software engineer, I spent several years studying Thomistic philosophy. I immersed myself in the works of St. Thomas Aquinas and classical philosophical thought, developing rigorous analytical and logical thinking through this training.

After completing my studies, I returned to my homeland, Croatia. In late August 2024, a friend suggested I try programming. That suggestion changed everything.

What started as curiosity quickly became a passion. I discovered that the analytical thinking and problem-solving skills I developed studying philosophy translated remarkably well to software development. The same logical rigor that guided me through Aquinas now guides me through code.

Today, I work as a software engineer, building real solutions and contributing to production systems. The transition from beginner to professional happened faster than I expected, but the learning never stops. Every day brings new challenges, new patterns to master, and new problems to solve.

What I Do

I specialize in full-stack development, with experience in modern web technologies, system architecture, and building scalable applications. I believe in writing clean, maintainable code and continuously improving my craft.

Final Thought

"From metaphysics to production code. The journey continues."
